Nek Counseling & Consultation, staff have been trained to provide assessments for substance use and a variety of mental health disorders. Nek Counseling & Consultation uses a biopsyscosocial approach when conducting assessments. The assessment tool that is utilized is normally the Addiction Severity Index otherwise known as the ASI. This is a biopsychosocial assessment that explores a variety of different areas, medical, education/vocation, family, legal, substance abuse, and psychiatric. In addition, the staff member may utilize a variety of other assessments tools depending upon the needs of the individual.
